Welcome

We're so happy to have you here! This home is very special to us. Denny designed and built the house and surrounding outdoor living spaces, and Brittany brought the interiors together. We hope you feel the care that went into creating this little desert retreat.

There are so many ways to enjoy the pace of the desert here. Grab a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the quail wander through, take a quiet walk through the landscape, read a book, or end the day soaking in the cedar tub.

Sparky

We especially hope you get a visit from Sparky, our resident roadrunner who has made his home on the property.

Thank you for treating the home with care. If anything at all seems off during your stay please don't hesitate to let us know. We hope you have a wonderful stay!

Warmly,
Brittany + Denny

The Home

Heating & Air Conditioning

Tap the thermostat screen to wake it up, then turn the outer ring to your desired temperature.

During very hot afternoons, please avoid setting the AC extremely low. The system cools gradually and lowering the temperature more will not cool the home faster. Keep doors and windows closed while AC is running.

Bath

Towels — Extra bath towels can be found under the sink in the bathroom.

Toilet — To prevent any issues with our septic system, which is very sensitive, please flush toilet paper only. No wipes, feminine products, or paper towels.

Shower Privacy — The shower window can feel more exposed than it is. If you'd like extra privacy, feel free to place the palms in the window while showering.

Bedroom + Loft

Loft Window — Please close the loft window when not in use.

Extra Linens — An extra blanket and sheets can be found in the bedroom cabinet.

TV

We have Netflix Premium available on the TV in the bedroom.

Library, Games & Music

Books — Our library reflects the spirit of the area. We kindly ask that books remain at the house for future guests to enjoy.

Games — Games can be found in one of the desk drawers in the bedroom.

Speaker — A Sony ULT FIELD 5 speaker is available, cordless for indoors or outdoors.

Record Player — A record player is available along with a vinyl collection. More details to come.

About the water color: Our cedar tub is crafted from 100% raw cedar. Just like steeping tea, the natural cedar releases organic compounds into the water, creating a soft amber tone. This is completely normal.
Water purification: The tub uses a low-chemical, copper-based purification system. This keeps the water clean while supporting a more soothing, skin-friendly soak.
